What is your refund policy for programming/classes?
MacDonald Island Park guests are able to transfer programs/classes (based on availability) at no additional charge, up to 48 hours before the start of the first session. All programs and camps offered at MacDonald Island Park are non-transferable and non-refundable unless an individual is moving out of the Wood Buffalo region or can provide a doctor’s note regarding a health concern. If a refund is granted, MacDonald Island Park will retain 10 per cent of the registration fee (minimum $10,00) to cover administrative costs.
Do you offer bookings for schools and other groups?
We offer a wide variety of services for schools, teams, clubs and other groups. Whether you are interested in swimming lessons, (Swim to Survive, Swim @ School, Swim Kids, Swim Patrol and the Bronze Awards) or are looking to arrange a leisure swim for your group we can create a booking that is both affordable and fun. Do you allow photography in the Syncrude Aquatic Centre?
For the comfort and safety of all members and guests the use of cameras and cell phones is strictly prohibited in the Syncrude Aquatic Centre, including spectator areas and changerooms. Photography for events and advertising purposes must be pre-arranged and approved by the Director of Aquatic and Leisure Services, and will be carefully supervised.
What are the age requirements when using the Syncrude Aquatic Centre?
Children 7 years and under must be within arms reach of a caretaker, 16 years and over, at all times. Maximum 3 children 7 years and under per caretaker.
