The Amenity Attendant Program will provide candidates with fundamentals of public relations, communication and observation skills to assist them in providing information and directing activities for amenities within aquatic and multipurpose facilities.
Aquatic Emergency Care (AEC) provides comprehensive training covering all aspects of first aid and CPR as well as skills specific to emergencies in an aquatic setting.
Bronze Cross is designed for lifesavers that want the challenge of more advanced training including an introduction to safe supervision in aquatic facilities.
Bronze Medallion teaches an understanding of the lifesaving principles embodied in the four components of water rescue education: judgement, knowledge, skill, and fitness.
The Lifesaving Society’s Junior Lifeguard Club accommodates people aged 8-15 years of different abilities. Youths are encouraged to develop skills based on personal bests in swimming, lifesaving, fitness, knowledge, leadership and teamwork.

Lifesaving Sport and Leadership programs are a great way to keep teens and young adults involved in aquatics. Its unique qualities play to the interests of teens and pre-teens as they finish up their swimming lessons. It can encourage them to learn lifeguarding skills or appeal to their sense of competition.
National Lifeguard (NLS) certification is recognized as the standard for lifeguards in Canada. NLS training develops the basic lifeguarding skills, principles and decision making process to help lifeguards create a safe and enjoyable facility.

You must bring your valid/current CPR Health Care Provider certificate to the course.
Dates to be announced. Must have a current Standard First Aid with Level C CPR to attend recertification.
