If your annual membership has expired, you can renew online here.

To purchase a family membership, you will only select yourself during the online transaction. Next time you visit MIP, please stop by Guest Services to link your family members.

Once you have successfully purchased your membership online, please stop at Guest Services on your next visit to pick up your membership card/Smart Scan wristbands. If you already have a Smart Scan wristband or membership card, this is now reactivated.

Using MIP Facilities.
Wristbands are required in all activity areas for guests 3 years and older. Children aged 7 years and under must be supervised by a caregiver 16 years of age or older while visiting MacDonald Island Park.

Financial Assistance.
Through community-driven support programs, like WB Kids, the Wood Buffalo Recreation Support Program and the Go Pass Program, community members who face financial barriers can gain access to arts, recreation and leisure programs in our region.
Support Programs.

The WB Kids program aspires to provide barrier-free participation to the sport, recreation, social and cultural programs and activities in the Wood Buffalo region
The program offers three streams of support including WB Kids, WB Kids All-Stars and WB Kids Clubs.

The WBRSP is designed to reduce the barriers impacting residents by offering eligible residents affordable access to recreation.
Approved applicants will receive 60% off of their chosen annual membership or monthly facility pass.
This program is offered at all RRCWB facilities and Syncrude Sport & Wellness Centre.

The MIP Go Pass provides WBRL members (aged 11 years and older) the opportunity to explore all MacDonald Island Park has to offer.
