After the conclusion of the incredibly exciting and energetic 2015 Tim Hortons Canadian Ringette Championships, the Organizing Committee would like to thank the community for their support of this event in the Wood Buffalo region.
The 2015 Tim Horton’s Canadian Ringette Championships took place from March 29-April 4 in the Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo. Opening and closing ceremonies and tournament games took place in arenas across the region, including the arena at the Anzac Recreation Centre presented by Nexen Energy, a CNOOC Limited Company in Anzac; CNRL Arenas 1 and 2 at the Suncor Community Leisure Centre, the Casman Centre Arena and the Frank Lacroix Arena in Fort McMurray; and the Fort McKay Community Arena in Fort McKay.
“37 teams from across the country came to Wood Buffalo to compete and to share their enthusiasm for ringette during these exciting championships,” said Trevor Boe, vice president of Fort McMurray Ringette Association. “Thanks to the support of our partners, all our volunteers, the Fort McMurray Ringette Association, our sponsors, the community and especially all of the teams from around Canada, the 2015 Tim Hortons Canadian Ringette Championships have been a great success and a terrific experience for everyone involved in bringing the event to the region this year.
