Tom Cochrane & Red Rider added to Nexen Summer Rocks Series lineup
Fort McMurray, AB, July 11, 2012 – One of Canada’s biggest treasures, Tom Cochrane & Red Rider presented by 100.5 K-Rock will take the outdoor stage at MacDonald Island Park on Thursday, July 26 as part of the Nexen Summer Rocks Series.
An Officer of the Order of Canada, Grammy nominee and seven-time Juno Award winner, Tom Cochrane is best known for hits such as “Life is a Highway,” “Big League,” “I Wish You Well,” and “No Regrets.”
Tickets will go on sale Thursday, July 12 at 10:00 a.m. at macdonaldisland.ca or at the MacDonald Island Park Box Office, located on the first floor of the Suncor Community Leisure Centre. General admission tickets are $45 plus fees and GST, while Club tickets are $59 plus GST. A limited number of Boxes are available.

Canadian rock legends The Stampeders will open for Tom Cochrane & Red Rider. The Juno Award-winning Calgary-based act has 12 top-5 hits to its credit including “Sweet City Woman,” “Wild Eyes,” and “Hit the Road Jack.”
As part of the Nexen Summer Rocks Series, MacDonald Island Park is moving Nazareth and Helix presented by 100.5 K-Rock to the outdoor stage from Nexen Field House. Club tickets, which were previously sold out, are now available due to increased capacity at the outdoor venue.
