Timeless Moments exhibition opens February 9 at MacDonald Island Community Art Gallery
The MacDonald Island Community Art Gallery presented by Kirschner Family Corporation is pleased to welcome the Timeless Moments exhibition from the Wood Buffalo Arts and Crafts Guild to the Suncor Community Leisure Centre as the first exhibition of 2017.
The Wood Buffalo Arts & Craft Guild is one of the longest running art groups within the Wood Buffalo region. This exhibition features the work of artists Claire Antonine, Colleen Cameron, David Ball, Margie Cunningham, Sonia Burke-Smith, Tammy Huggan and Vera Fustic. It is described as a collection of works arising at the moment when the artists become so lost in the creative flow that time seems to stop as they work and their mind releases inner thoughts as movement in their hands.
“We are pleased to host this multi-artist exhibition as we welcome a new year in the gallery,” said Rachel Orser, Interim Chief Executive Officer of the Regional Recreation Corporation of Wood Buffalo. “This exhibition is a great showcase of art works from some of the many talented artists in our region.”
The opening reception for the Timeless Moments exhibition takes place at 7:00 pm on February 9 at the MacDonald Island Community Art Gallery presented by Kirschner Family Corporation. Light refreshments will be served and all community members are invited to attend. The Timeless Moments exhibition will be available for viewing from February 1 – March 3.
