The Craze returns for another fun-filled and family friendly New Year’s Eve!

The Regional Recreation Corporation of Wood Buffalo (RRC) is tremendously excited to announce the return of The Craze, Fort McMurray’s annual free New Year’s Eve family extravaganza.

The Craze features a variety of free family events and activities for youth and adults of all ages and will run from Noon until 6:00 pm at the Suncor Community Leisure Centre and Shell Place, culminating with the New Year’s Eve Grand Finale presented by SMS Equipment, which includes Fireworks and a Confetti Cannon. Due to this special event the Suncor Community Leisure Centre and Shell Place will open at Noon on December 31, with the exception of the TOTAL Fitness Centre which will open at 7:00am.

This year The Craze will feature exciting MIX 103.7 & Cruz 100.5 FM Main Stage entertainment perfect for all family members. The Craze is delighted to welcome Calgary-based performers The New Electric to the event this year. The New Electric, based out of Calgary, Alberta have made a name for themselves on Canadian pop radio, reaching heights of: #18 on Hot AC, #26 on CHR (Top 40), and #28 on Main AC, with their debut single Life’s What You Make It. The infectious new tune keeps seeing weekly adds & features from coast to coast. The New Electric released their debut EP titled Living Loud on October 28, 2016, on all digital outlets. In support of the EP, they completed a Cross-Canada tour with Backstreet Boy - Nick Carter, throughout November.
