Seat reservations to historic Edmonton Eskimos Northern Kickoff sell out
(Fort McMurray, AB, June 28, 2013) – Seat reservations to the Northern Kickoff presented by Shell Albian Sands sold out in just over five hours after going on sale to the public at ESKS.COM at 10:00 am MT on Friday.
Combined with the 2,000-seat pre-sale made available to Edmonton Eskimo season seat holders, 5,222 tickets, including suites, have now been reserved for the CFL pre-season game between the Edmonton Eskimos and Saskatchewan Roughriders slated for June 13, 2015 at the new SMS Stadium at Shell Place.
The $127-million Shell Place is currently under construction at MacDonald Island Park in downtown Fort McMurray and is scheduled to open in winter, 2015 in advance of the Northern Kickoff, which will be the most Northern game in CFL history.
“This enthusiastic response speaks to the excitement in our region surrounding the Northern Kickoff,” said Melissa Blake, Chair of the Northern Kickoff and Mayor of the Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo. “Our community has embraced this special event and anticipation will continually build as 2015 and the official opening of Shell Place approaches.”
Northern Kickoff seat reservation purchasers are reminded they will be informed of their exact seat location at SMS Stadium at a later date well in advance of the June 13, 2015 event.
