Sawridge to take on MacDonald Island Hospitality at first WBCC
Fort McMurray, AB, July 24, 2012 – Sawridge Inn & Conference Centre has thrown down the gauntlet to MacDonald Island Park’s Hospitality Department for the inaugural Wood Buffalo Corporate Challenge, September 27-30 at MacDonald Island Park.
“We challenge the MacDonald Island Park Hospitality team to a friendly competition at the Wood Buffalo Corporate Challenge in support of a great community organization in Noralta Skating Club,” said Clarence Buchanan, Executive Chef at Sawridge Inn & Conference Centre. “It should be a great weekend of fun and we look forward to going head to head with Naved Noorani and his team at MacDonald Island.”
Noorani, Director of Hospitality at MacDonald Island Park, wasted no time in accepting the challenge, as his team looks ahead to matching up with the Sawridge Inn & Conference Centre at the nine-event Wood Buffalo Corporate Challenge.
“It’ll be a blast to connect with Clarence and the Sawridge team in September. We might have home field advantage so to speak, but we know they’ll be ready for us as the community comes together for a weekend of team-building, good times, and friendly competition at the Island,” said Noorani.
Both Sawridge Inn & Conference Centre and MacDonald Island Park Hospitality will compete at the Wood Buffalo Corporate Challenge in addition to a collection of corporate and community-based squads from across the region.
