RRC and Scotiabank celebrate success of 2016 Scotiabank MI Summer Camps
Representatives of the Regional Recreation Corporation of Wood Buffalo (RRC) and Scotiabank celebrated the success of the 2016 Scotiabank MI Summer Camps on Wednesday, November 9.
This summer, over 1,200 children in Fort McMurray and Anzac experienced summer camp for free thanks to the partnership with Scotiabank. The Scotiabank MI Summer Camps, held at MacDonald Island Park and the Anzac Recreation Centre presented by Nexen Energy, were filled with fun, friendship and new experiences for children ages 12 and under in the Wood Buffalo region.
“Thanks to Scotiabank, hundreds of local children participated in summer camp for free this year,” said Annette Antoniak, Chief Executive Officer of the RRC. “During a particularly challenging time in our community, these children were given the opportunity to enjoy their summer at camp, building new friendships and spending time having fun.”
