Regional Recreation Corporation of Wood Buffalo announces new CEO
The Board of Directors of the Regional Recreation Corporation of Wood Buffalo (RRC) is pleased to announce the successful resolution of the process to recruit a Chief Executive Officer of the RRC.
“It is with great pleasure the RRC welcomes Annette Antoniak as CEO,” said Michael Cachia, Chair of the Board of Directors of the RRC. “Annette brings an impressive set of skills and experience to the role, including her tenure as Executive Vice President of Canada Place Corporation, President and CEO of the Pacific National Exhibition and President and CEO of the British Columbia Olympic and Paralympic Games Secretariat. The Board of Directors and I have great confidence that Annette is ideally suited to lead the RRC to continued success as we deliver excellence in sport, recreation and event experiences, meeting our vision to make a difference in the Wood Buffalo region every day.”
Antoniak, most recently employed with the City of Penticton as Chief Administrative Officer, will officially take on the role as CEO of the RRC on April 6, 2015.
“The RRC Board of Directors would like to thank Russell Agnew, RRC Interim Chief Operating Officer, for his stewardship of the organization over the last few months as we engaged in the recruitment process for the position of CEO,” said Cachia. “Russell will continue in his role as RRC Chief Financial Officer and Interim Chief Operating Officer as Annette transitions into her role with the RRC.”
