QUAD HIGH Art Exhibition opens May 28 at MacDonald Island Community Art Gallery
(Fort McMurray, AB, May 21, 2015) – The MacDonald Island Community Art Gallery presented by Kirschner Family Corporation is pleased to welcome the QUAD HIGH Art Exhibition to the Suncor Community Leisure Centre in May.
The QUAD High Exhibition, an annual event with deep roots in the Fort McMurray community, has been celebrated for over 2 decades. Originally named the Tri High Exhibition, the event grew into the QUAD High Exhibition with the addition of a new high school in the community. The art departments from the four high schools have now come together to showcase outstanding student artworks created during the 2014/2015 school year. The artworks include a variety of different mediums, styles and techniques, giving insights into the creative minds of our future.
“As the 2014-2015 school year draws to a close we are delighted to welcome this art exhibition featuring some of the many talented students in the Fort McMurray Catholic School District and Fort McMurray Public School District,” said Annette Antoniak, Chief Executive Officer of the Regional Recreation Corporation of Wood Buffalo. “It is a genuine pleasure to provide an opportunity to showcase these exciting works from young artists in our region.”
The opening reception for the QUAD High Art Exhibition takes place at 7:00 pm on May 28 at the MacDonald Island Community Art Gallery presented by Kirschner Family Corporation. Light refreshments will be served and all community members are invited to attend. The Quad High Art Show exhibition will be available for viewing from May 28–June 22.
