Oktoberfest presented by Don Scott McMurray Law Office to raise steins on Sept 30
MacDonald Island Park will welcome the arrival of the 2016 fall season in Fort McMurray with Oktoberfest presented by Don Scott McMurray Law Office on September 30.
Oktoberfest, which is marked around the world as a celebration of Bavarian culture, will make its inaugural appearance in the Wood Buffalo region at the Suncor Community Leisure Centre at MacDonald Island Park. This one night only event will feature German food, live music, and a variety of beer offerings.
“We are pleased to welcome autumn this year with our first Oktoberfest celebration,” said Annette Antoniak, Chief Executive Officer of the Regional Recreation Corporation of Wood Buffalo. “This annual cultural celebration is held in communities across the nation, and this year with the support of Don Scott McMurray Law Office we are delighted to present this opportunity to residents of the Wood Buffalo region.”
Guests at Oktoberfest will receive a commemorative stein to sample beers while enjoying the live entertainment and a display of skills from the Fort McMurray Strongman Association. Guests are also encouraged to wear their best Oktoberfest costumes. Prizes will be awarded for the best male and female Oktoberfest attire.
Tickets for Oktoberfest presented by Don Scott McMurray Law Office are available for purchase beginning on Wednesday, August 24, online at ONErec.ca/events and in person at the Shell Place Box Office at MacDonald Island Park. Admission for Oktoberfest is $39 plus applicable fees and taxes. Please note this event is designed for adults over the age of eighteen years and youth/children will not be admitted.
