Miskanaw Golf Club announces PGA of Canada head professional
(Fort McMurray, AB, November 12, 2013) – MacDonald Island Park is proud to announce the official hiring of Ron Healy as the new PGA of Canada Head Professional at the Miskanaw Golf Club.
Having spent the past two years at Miskanaw, Healy has been employed as a head golf professional since 1976, when he took on that role at the Beaconsfield Golf Club in Montreal, Quebec. Healy has spent decades mentoring aspiring young golfers while assisting experienced golfers in improving their game. He brings these years of experience and knowledge to the Miskanaw Golf Club, and is excited to join his daughter and family who also call Fort McMurray home.

Healy says, “I am tremendously excited to be continuing my career at the Miskanaw Golf Club, assisting its members while also developing a superb tournament experience. I am looking forward to introducing community members and corporate players to the nearly completed re-development of the Miskanaw Golf Course, along with the completion and opening of Shell Place in 2015.”
While the Miskanaw Golf Course has now closed for the season, the Golf Simulator is now open at the Sly Fox Pro Shop. The Golf Simulator offers 36 different courses from around the world, as well as virtual golf instruction with an interactive practice facility and driving range.
