Good Vibrations: The Beach Boys to warm up MacDonald Island Park
(Fort McMurray, AB, February 19, 2013) – The top selling band for albums and singles in American history will take the stage at MacDonald Island Park on Saturday, May 4 when The Beach Boys come to Nexen Field House.
As The Beach Boys mark more than a half century of making music, the group continues to ride the crest of a wave unequalled in America’s musical history. The Beach Boys have become synonymous with the California lifestyle and have become an American icon to a worldwide audience. Since lead-singer and rock’s quintessential front man Mike Love penned the lyrics to The Beach Boys’ first hit, “Surfin’” (1961), the band has had a string of chart-topping songs and albums that spans the career and includes eternal anthems of American youth: “Surfin’ USA,” “Surfer Girl,” “Fun, Fun, Fun,” “I Get Around,” “California Girls,” “Help Me Rhonda,” “Barbara Ann,” “Good Vibrations,” “Wouldn’t It Be Nice,” “Rock and Roll Music,” and “Kokomo.”
The Beach Boys are presented by 100.5 K-Rock.

Tickets for The Beach Boys go on sale Thursday, February 21 at 10:00 a.m. at macdonaldisland.ca or at the MacDonald Island Park Box Office, located on the first floor of the Suncor Community Leisure Centre. General Admission is $59, Front Row is $69 and Club is $79. All tickets are subject to fees and GST.
