Art in the Park coming to MacDonald Island on August 25

Fort McMurray, AB, August 13, 2012 – The MacDonald Island Community Art Gallery presented by Kirschner Family Corporation invites the community to Art in the Park, Saturday, August 25 from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. outside at MacDonald Island Park.
The free family-oriented event will feature artist demonstrations in a variety of disciplines, a mural painter in action and all-ages workshops for both children and adults, including Venetian mask design and pottery making.
“We invite the public to help us celebrate art in our community and the many organizations that work together so that art can thrive,” said Michele Taylor, Director of Aquatic and Leisure Services at MacDonald Island Park. “Thank you to all of the volunteers and to our partners as we aim to make engagement in the arts as accessible for as many people as possible.”
