Art for Mental Health set for grand opening December 13
(Fort McMurray, AB, December 10, 2012) – The community is cordially invited to the grand opening of Art for Mental Health at the MacDonald Island Community Art Gallery presented by Kirschner Family Corporation on Thursday evening.
The exhibition is a charity exhibition in support of Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA) Wood Buffalo. 50% of the proceeds from the sale of each artwork will be donated to CMHA Wood Buffalo, with artists having the option of contributing up to 100% of the proceeds from each sale.
In addition, 10 artworks have been selected for silent auction. The winners will be announced on Thursday evening at the grand opening, which begins at 7:00 p.m. Complimentary appetizers and refreshments will be served.
The grand opening will feature remarks from Mike Allen, MLA for Fort McMurray-Wood Buffalo; Russell Thomas, Councillor, Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo and Vincella Thompson, President, CMHA Wood Buffalo.

Art for Mental Health is on display until December 20.
