4th annual charity art exhibit, sale and auction to benefit Children First
The 4th annual charity art exhibit, sale and auction hosted by the MacDonald Island Community Art Gallery presented by Kirschner Family Corporation will benefit local social profit group Children First, an organization with the mission to provide circles of support for children and families.
The exhibition will be available for viewing at the MacDonald Island Community Art Gallery presented by Kirschner Family Corporation from November 14 until the closing reception on December 4. All pieces of artwork in the exhibition, which have been created by children in the Children First program, are available for silent or live auction with 100% of the proceeds going to benefit Children First.
Children First strongly believes in the freedom of creative expression. To promote this a variety of materials were used in creating the artwork in the exhibit and the children voluntarily participated in the process. In doing so no two pieces of art look the same as each child explored the material differently. The children ranged in age from 6 months to 6 years.
“It is a pleasure to host the 4th annual charity art exhibit, sale and auction,” said Russell Agnew, Interim Chief Operating Officer of the Regional Recreation Corporation of Wood Buffalo. “Showcasing the artwork of the talented children of our community, this exhibit is an opportunity to support one of our valued local social profit organizations while also encouraging and supporting the efforts of our creative young artists.”
The closing reception and live auction for the Children First Exhibit will take place on December 4 at 7:00 pm at the MacDonald Island Community Art Gallery presented by Kirschner Family Corporation. Light refreshments will be served and all community members are invited to attend.
