MacDonald Island Park Walk of Honour
The MacDonald Island Park Walk of Honour designation is awarded on an annual basis to an individual(s) that has/have made an outstanding contribution to recreational, social and/or cultural life in the Wood Buffalo community.
The inductee is selected by the MacDonald Island Park Board of Directors and will be recognized by a commemorative plaque on the MacDonald Island Park Walk of Honour, located at the Suncor Community Leisure Centre.
Members of the public are invited to submit nominations during the month of September. The winner is selected by the MacDonald Island Park Board of Directors and will be announced at the annual State of the Island gala in October. Click here to nominate someone for the Walk of Honour designation.
As Canada’s largest community recreation, leisure and events experience, MacDonald Island Park bestows an annual honour on individual(s) that have laid the groundwork for the success of ‘Your Island Playground’.
